After a year’s hiatus, the Africa Digital Awards have announced that the Pan-African award that celebrates, recognises, and honours Africa’s digital brilliance will return this year.
The event is part of the Africa Digital Festival, a Pan-African digital festival that promotes Africa’s digital future and is organised by the Pan-African policy think tank, Digital Foundation, Africa.
The announcement was made on the official Twitter account of the Africa Digital Awards, which stated: “We are fueling our engines to bounce back after a year’s break. 2022 has seen a lot of growth in the continent’s digital ecosystem. Who wins what? Watch this space.”
The event’s nominations have not yet been announced, but based on the 2020 edition, we can assume that the various categories, which include Agritech Innovation, Best Mobile App of the Year, Best Use of AI, Digital Edtech of the Year, and many others, will be on display at the 2022 edition of the awards.
