Esports Africa Tournament‘s #AUESPORTSCONNECT series put together a FIFA 22 battle that saw players from Ghana go at it against players from Kenya in a number of friendly matches.
The first matchup went to the Kenyans with their rep Khan, winning two games in a best of 3 matchup against Paada from Ghana (Team Falcon GH). Khan was off to a good start with a resounding 6-1 victory over his Ghanaian opponent, with 5 goals in the first half alone. There was a show of resilience from Team Falcon’s Paada in the second fixture, but Khan proved too strong for him, easing into a 5-4 victory to end the series in favour of Khan from Kenya.
Kenya’s Makuer sent his opponent back to the drawing board ahead of the second fixture after defeating Ghana’s Medicine (Tema Esports Club) 4-1. The Kenyan athlete did not relent in the second match, coming from behind to win 4-3 against Ghana’s Medicine.
The final matchup took a slightly different turn with Ghana’s Wicked&Jovial (Team Falcon GH) seeing out a 9-2 victory over Kenya’s Fox (Horizon Esports) in the opening fixture of the 3-game matchup. Wicked&Jovial quickly ended proceedings following a 5-2 victory over Fox in the second matchup of the series to get the consolation win for Ghana.
