Calyx & Riot to host Intel Arabian Cup Playground

Middle East-based esports organizer and production company, Calyx Gaming has announced a partnership with games publisher Riot Games to host the Intel Arabian Cup (IAC) Playground series.

The IAC Playground is set to see gamers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and Iraq compete in games including Valorant, League of Legends (LoL), and League of Legends: Wild Rift for a share of the $15,000 prize pool that will be split across the two seasons.

It should be noted that the Valorant tournament will serve as a regional qualifier and will see compete for a spot in the second season of Valorant MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Regional Leagues.

Meanwhile, the top two League of Legends teams at the IAC Playground will secure a place in Season Two of the Intel Arabian Cup Qualifiers.

Speaking about the deal, Competitive Experience Professional at Riot Games MENA, Hakim Abu Nahel stated that “The IAC Playground is a grassroots circuit designed to provide a fantastic competitive experience to our League of Legends, Valorant and WildRift players across the MENA region.”

“We are proud to announce that the Playground circuit will also act as a stepping stone for aspiring teams and players to compete for an opportunity to qualify for high-tier tournaments such as the VRL for Valorant and IAC Prestige Division for League of Legends.”

The Intel Arabian Cup (IAC) Playground series will be broadcast across the Calyx website, Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook.
