Gauteng Provincial Championships to be held online

Gauteng

The Gauteng Esports Provincial Championships (GEPC) which are usually LAN events are set to be held completely online during this year’s edition of the competition.

This is due to Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) being unable to find suitable venues for its large scale LAN events that comply with all the country’s COVID-19 regulations.

As such the MSSA have decided to hold the 2022 Gauteng LAN Championship as an online event as well as still holding its existing 2022 Gauteng Online Championships.

According to the association, they took this decision to allow as many Registered Players to qualify for the 2022 MSSA National Team Trials.

The MSSA’s Gauteng Provincial Championships offers all Registered Players the opportunity to qualify for selection to the national squad and for the Protea Team.
