LESF announce plans for 2022 CEC

With 100 days to the maiden edition of the Commonwealth Esports Championships (CEC) Lagos Esports Forum (LESF) CEO, Sayo Owolabi has announced that Nigeria will be part of the six nations set to represent the African continent at the historic event.

The LESF CEO revealed that the nation will be sending two gamers to take on the rest of the world at the tournament created by the partnership between the Global Esports Federation (GEF) and the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) back in February 2022.

Team Manager of the LESF, Ife Akintaju, further revealed that the nation will be competing in only the open and female categories of eFootball (console only).

Akintaju also revealed that the national qualifiers for the 2022 CEC will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, with the two winners in both the open and female categories heading to Birmingham to represent the West African nation from 6 – 7 August 2022.

Gamers can register for the qualifiers via the MOBIELE app which can be downloaded from the Google Playstore for Android users and www.themobiele.com for IOS users.
