Nigerian-based esports team Outlaws have announced the signing of Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBGM) gamer Wind.
The announcement was made on the team’s official social media handles revealing that Wind is set to join Outlaws’ official PUBG team dubbed ‘The Predators.’
“The talent just keeps coming!!!!! We are happy to announce and welcome the arrival of [Wind] [to] team Outlaws Predators.”
Back in March, Outlaws revealed their official PUBGM team roster to form the game’s competitive wing of the organisation.
The 8-member team, including gamers Psycho, Roi, Zero, tp55EPIK, Sunny, Shaxx, Shad and Steriods, had their first test at last month’s Pan-African tournament Gamr X.
The competition brought together some of the best gamers from 9 countries from the Western and Central regions of the continent to duke it out in 4 different games for a combined prize pool of $15,000.
One of those games was PUBGM which saw Outlaws finish in fourth place, securing 49 points, 20 points behind eventual winners Drgn Limitless and 4 points from a place on the podium.
The addition of Wind who prefers the role of a ‘Fragger’ in-game could be the Nigerian-based esports team looking to strengthen the team ahead of their next tournament.
