Press Release: FIFAe Joins Forces With Gamers8 to Boost Football Esports Globally

The FIFAe Finals 2023 will join Gamers8: The Land of Heroes – the world’s largest gaming and esports festival – this summer in a landmark partnership including a new record prize pool for participants and first‑class entertainment for fans to elevate the experience for the entire community.

The collaboration aims to drive the global growth of football esports by giving the scene the biggest possible stage. It will bring the entire FIFAe scene together to compete in the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023™, FIFAe Nations Cup 2023™ and the FIFAe World Cup 2023™ – all presented by Gamers8.

The FIFAe Finals will provide a platform for the world’s best EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23 clubs, nations and players to showcase their skills and fame their game between 6 and 19 July. To celebrate the partnership, the event prize pool for the FIFAe Finals 2023 has been increased from last year’s USD 1.2 million to USD 3 million. Hosted in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Gamers8, which is organised by the Saudi Esports Federation, takes place for eight weeks across the summer and features the world’s best teams and players from various gaming titles.

With FIFAe it’s our ultimate goal and ambition to keep growing football esports together with everyone involved across all borders alike.”

The local community has consistently showcased its FIFAe talent at a global level during the last few years. Saudi Arabia is one of the very few countries to have two former FIFAe world champions and it was among the first nations to compete in the inaugural FIFAe Nations Cup™ in 2019. As the host country, the Saudi Arabia national team automatically qualify for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023.

At the FIFAe Finals 2023, the world’s best 24 clubs, nations and players will compete for ultimate glory to be crowned world champion of their respective tournament after a season‑long qualification process. The FIFAe Club World Cup 2023 will take place between 6 and 9 July, the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 between 11 and 14 July and the FIFAe World Cup 2023 between 16 and 19 July.
