PRESS RELEASE:ESPORTS KENYA FEDERATION STATEMENT ON THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN GLOBAL ESPORTS FEDERATION (GEF) AND THE INTERNATIONAL ESPORTS FEDERATION (IESF)

The Esports Kenya Federation supports the recent initiative taken by the Global Esports Federation (GEF) and the International Esports Federation (IESF) in signing a Letter of Intent for collaboration. Esports continues to thrive as a modern day sport, and collaborative efforts are essential for the sustained growth and development of the industry. The Esports Kenya Federation recognizes the significance of unified efforts and is enthusiastic about the potential gains that can be achieved through the collaboration between GEF and IESF.

This alliance marks a crucial step towards fostering a more interconnected and cooperative esports landscape on an international scale, which will further popularise our sport. It is also a major boost to the efforts of formally including esports in the Olympic movement, just a month after the IOC announced the intention to stage an Olympic Esports Games.

The Esports Kenya Federation is committed to actively participating in this collaborative venture, contributing its expertise and insights to enhance the global esports ecosystem. We congratulate the two Presidents, Chris Chan (GEF) and *H.R.H Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan (IESF)* for their vision and dedication. As the representative body for esports in Kenya, we believe such collaborative initiatives are instrumental in advancing the interests of our athletes and the esports community.

We look forward to a future where this collaboration paves the way for increased opportunities, mutual growth and shared success in the world of esports.

Yours Faithfully,

Ronny Lusigi, President, ESKF.
