PUBG Moblie Ghana League begin tomorrow

The road to the PUBG Mobile Ghana Championships (PMGC) kicks off tomorrow April 15 with Season 2 of the PUBG Mobile Ghana League (PMGL).

16 teams are set to participate in the 2-week league event with the top 8 teams securing a spot in the maiden edition of the PMGC.

The bottom 8 teams from the event will then have to battle play against wildcard teams from May 1 to 5 to secure one of the 8 places up for grabs for the PMGC.

The PMGC according to the Esports Association, Ghana (EAG) is part of its mandate to develop the mobile esports ecosystem in the country.

“The Esports Association of Ghana, as part of its mandate to develop the Mobile Esports Ecosystem together with the PUBG Mobile Ghana Community are collaboratively working hand in hand to make PUBG Mobile Esports a competitive sport for the youth in Ghana,” a statement on the EAG website read.

“It is the desire of the Association to create employment opportunities for the youth in Ghana by exploring alternative pathways to sportsmanship and interactive entertainment.”

The PMGC also serves as the nation’s qualifiers for the PUBG Mobile event at the 14th World Esports Championship to be hosted in Bali, Indonesia from November 27 to December 9.

The PUBG Mobile Ghana League (PMGL) kicks off tomorrow April 15 and is set to run till April 24.
