Gamathon Ghana 2025: Africa’s Premier Video Games , Immersive and Interactive media Industry Convention comes to Accra
A 6-Day Flagship Event to Unite Gaming, Animation, XR, and Digital Creative Industries from July 28 to August 2, 2025
This quarter, digital creators, investors, policymakers, accelerators, incubators, and other key players in the video games, immersive, and interactive media industries will converge in Accra for Gamathon Ghana 2025. The Gamathon is Africa’s premier convention for stakeholders in the immersive and interactive media industry, showcasing their works and connecting them to opportunities for dialogue, learning, collaboration, jobs and funding. This highly anticipated event promises six days of dynamic programming designed to showcase innovation, foster collaboration, and accelerate the growth of Africa’s digital creative industry ecosystem.
As the second stop in the Gamathon Regional Tour ( happening across four countries ) , following the successful Kenya convention earlier this year , Gamathon Ghana will feature four major program highlights crafted to strengthen partnerships and drive impact:
- Creative Ecosystem Tour (July 28-30): A guided exploration and documentation of Ghana’s vibrant creative studios, hubs and ecosystems.
- Industry Dinner (July 31, Invite-Only): An exclusive networking evening for ecosystem leaders and stakeholders.
- Meridian Meetups Accra (August 1): A gathering for innovators and enthusiasts in spatial computing and XR technologies.
- NerdCon Accra (August 2): The grand finale featuring panel discussions, exhibitions, game showcases, gaming competitions and immersive experiences.
