Ghana Launches Phygital Games Campaign

The Ghana Esports Federation has initiated athlete registration in preparation for assembling the national team to compete in the upcoming Global Phygital Games.

Athletes will vie for spots to represent Ghana in football and basketball categories during the event.

Phygital Games, a fusion of physical and digital sports branded as the “Games of the Future,” is a burgeoning concept gaining global popularity. By combining traditional sports with their digital counterparts, this innovative approach delivers thrilling entertainment and heightened competition.

While gaming and esports have become mainstream, they often lacked synergy with the traditional sports they emulate. The introduction of Phygital Games bridges this gap, promoting both traditional sports and esports more effectively.

This year’s global championship will take place in the United Arab Emirates, where participants will compete in both physical sports and esports for prestigious prizes.
