Ghana’s reps for ECL Gaming‘s Female FIFA Cup were knocked out in the first and second rounds of the competition which was held on June 12.

The reps which included Team Falcons GH’s Monica Mensah Sefakor and Lorlor Clottey of Tema Esports made history as they were part of a Ghana team which was making their first-ever appearance at the Female FIFA Cup.

The two gamers would face each other in the first round with Monica coming out on top defeating Lorlor 6-0 to move on to the second round.

The Team Falcon GH gamer would however be knocked out by her opponent Lisa Manley of JLINGZ Esports who would defeat the Ghanaian 4-0 in the first leg and 3-1 in the second for an aggregate score of 7-1.

The Esports Association, Ghana (EAG) was welcomed to the ECL Gaming family on May 30 in an announcement on the esports organisation’s official Twitter handle.

The announcement also revealed the inclusion of Ghana’s Monica Mensah Sefakor and Lorlor Clottey in yesterday’s June 12 Kitbag UK’s Female FIFA Cup.

The all-female tournament brought together some of the best female FIFA gamers battle it out for a slice of the $1900 prize pool.
