Kurdistan request to be moved into PGS African Qualifiers
The Kurdistan national esports team in a statement to the Pro Gaming Society (PGS) has requested to be moved from the 2022 PGS World Cup West Asian Qualifiers to its African counterpart.
According to the Kurdistan national esports team’s official Twitter handle, this is due to internet problems the country will face if they are to have their qualifiers in the West Asian zone.
“Kurdistan officially sent a statement to the PGS admins to move Kurdistan from Middle East qualifiers to Africa due to internet problems.”
The Kurds are currently drawn in the West Asian zone of the PGS Qualifiers and are set to face Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Palestine and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
However, should their request be accepted this could see the Kurds face off against Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and South Africa in the African zone of the 2022 PGS World Cup Qualifiers.
