LoL Arcane series dominate the Annies
The 49th edition of the Annie Awards saw highly acclaimed animated series Arcane dominate winning nine (9) different awards on the night.
The Annie Awards, which celebrates excellence in animation saw the League of Legends (LoL) inspired series win each award for every category it was nominated for.
Arcane went up against heavy hitters such as Castlevania, Star Wars: Visions and The Mitchells vs. The Machines, with the latter winning eight (8) categories including Best Feature.
Arcane’s episode 6 (When These Walls Come Tumbling Down) and episode 9 (The Monster You Created) each earned three awards during last night’s show.
The ceremony was held on March 12 and comprised over 30 different categories, with almost 80 unique participants.

- Best FX – TV/Media (Ep. Oil & Water)
- Best Character Animation – TV/Media
- Best Character Design – TV/Media (Ep. Some Mysteries best left unsolved)
- Best Direction – TV/Media (Ep. The Monster You Created)
- Best Production Design – TV/Media (Ep. Happy Progress Day!)
- Best Storyboarding – TV/Media (Ep. When These Walls Come Tumbling Down)
- Best Voice Acting – TV/Media (Ep. When These Walls Come Tumbling Down)
- Best Writing – TV/Media (Ep. The Monster You Created)
