May Contain Nuts win RLCS Sub-Saharan Africa Fall Open

Sixteen (16) of Sub-Saharan Africa‘s (SSA) best Rocket League teams competed for a share of the $20,000 prize pool and some Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) points from October 14 to 16. Eight (8) teams were eliminated on the first day of the 16-team Swiss System Format, while the other eight (8) advanced to the playoff bracket.

In the single-elimination playoffs, where all matches are best-of-seven, we saw May Contain Nuts demolish Team Espionage 4-0 and then go on to defeat Millennial Times Gaming 4-1 to advance to the finals.

On the other side of the bracket, Orlando Pirates Exdee breezed past their opponents, winning 4-0 over Aureon E-Sports and Reformed to advance to the grand final.

However, the might of May Contain Nuts was too much for Orlando Pirates Exdee. May Contain Nuts came out swinging, destroying Orlando Pirates Exdee 4-0 to claim victory.

For their dominant performance, May Contain Nuts wins $6,000 and 16 RLCS points. Orlando Pirates Exdee wins $4,000 and 12 RLCS points for their outstanding performance during the RLCS Sub-Saharan Africa Fall Open.

This is only the beginning, as we look forward to the RLCS SSA Fall Cup, which will be held at the end of October.
