Meta now part of Oculus Studios

The developers behind Iron Man VR are now part of Oculus Studios. Two years after the game’s launch on PlayStation VR, Meta revealed during its Meta Connect event. One of three new acquisitions announced by Oculus Studios was the purchase of the firm that created it, Camouflaj.

Meta published a trailer in which Iron Man may be seen getting ready for battle. The 41-second clip didn’t feature any gameplay, but it did provide a release date of November 3, 2022. The game has been upgraded to work with the Meta Quest controllers, according to Meta. However, there were no specifics about graphical improvements.

Originally created by Camouflaj, the studio behind Republique, Marvel’s Iron Man VR was made available on the PlayStation 4 as a result of a partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment. The Meta Quest 2 adaptation of the game hints that Sony’s plans to port its titles to PC also cover non-PlayStation VR platforms. The port is being helped by Endeavor One, the PSVR developer of Arashi: Castles of Sin.

Iron Man VR is a game based on the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, where players can control a virtual version of Tony Stark’s armour and fight enemies. It was released in 2020 and has received mixed reviews from both critics and fans alike.
