MSSA wrap up Provincial Championships
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) held its annual Combined Online Provincial Championships for Schools (COPCS) on April 23.
The competition brought together schools from many of South Africa’s provinces – which continue to show incredible growth in esports at the school level.
The 2022 Combined Online Provincial Championships for Schools saw seven esports titles played, with 19 players automatically awarded High School Provincial Colours for having won every single round in which they played.
The online championship also gave athletes the opportunity to qualify for the National Team Trials, as well as helped learner athletes prepare themselves for the 2022 North-West University (NWU) MSSA Online School League.
It should be noted that CCL Knights, from Crawford College Lonehill, have qualified for the prestigious National Team Trials.
The team selected at such trials shall fight at the African Regional Championships for a berth to represent South Africa at the International Esports Federation‘s (IESF) World Esports Championships in Bali in late November this year.
