NAICCON Scheduled For Mid November
The Nairobi Comic Convention 2022 is set to be hosted on the 5th floor of the Sarit Center in Nairobi, Kenya, from November 19-20, in collaboration with the IT organisation Liquid Intelligent Technologies.
The convention will host, display, and discuss a wide range of topics including manga, comics, cosplay, gaming, and movies, among many others, allowing anyone with an interest in the topics to socialise and meet other like-minded persons.
Anime and gaming have recently grown in popularity in Africa, with both becoming more mainstream. These groups have always existed, although they were less popular in the past due to negative social perceptions.
To avoid ridicule, most people concealed their feelings for them. However, fortunes appear to have turned around in recent times, as evidenced by an increase in individuals publicly acknowledging their involvement in various communities.
The Nairobi Comic Convention, dubbed NAICCON, is sponsored by Logitech, Canon, Kenya Buzz, and many others.
