The Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) transformed the city of Windhoek into a battleground of virtual warriors on July 29th, 2023, as they celebrated the crowning of champions at the highly anticipated Street Fighter 6 Tournament. Held at the cutting-edge NUST’s MTC Innovation Centre, housed in the futuristic HTTPS building, the event served as a resounding testament to the burgeoning esports scene in Namibia. Esports enthusiasts from across the region gathered at the MTC Innovation Centre, an epicentre of gaming enthusiasm, to witness an awe-inspiring display of skill and strategy. The Street Fighter 6 Tournament left no room for disappointment as competitors battled fiercely for supremacy.

The top honours of the tournament were bestowed upon players who exhibited extraordinary prowess and tactical acumen:

🥉 3rd Place: Gerald Mugandani (Zimbabwean)

If successful, Jannie will proudly carry Namibia’s flag to the prestigious Global Esports Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a testament to the rising talent in Namibian esports.
