Pirates Esports SA Super League champs
Pirates Esports are the Season 4 Virtual Pro Gaming (VPG) South Africa (SA) Super League champions after securing 49 points in 22 games.
The club which is run by the South African Premier League (SAPL) side Orlando Pirates needed 4 wins out of 4 games on the final day of competition on April 13 to stand a chance of lifting the title.
The newly crowned champions would defeat V Squad, CheckMarts, ReVo Raiders and Castaways on the final day to overtake title challengers Masandawana FC whose draw against RBZA Esports on the final day ended their title aspirations.
This is the Pirates’ second title this season and their victory sees them qualify for the VPG Africa Champions League as South Africa’s representatives.
