PlayProvince sign Eugene Mensah Asare

Ghanaian esports team, PlayProvince yesterday May 31 announced the signing of Mortal Kombat (MK) gamer Eugene Mensah Asare.

Eugene who goes by ‘FizzyDipsy1’ – is one of the country’s best MK gamers – joins PlayProvince’s new MK team as revealed by the esports team’s manager Kweku Hammond.

“So basically one of our goals here at PlayProvince is to expand and get gamers from almost [every] genre of esports gaming.”

“We noticed that we had no gamer for MK, [so] we decided to scout for MK gamers and through some recommendations from reliable people we got to know Asare Mensah Eugene,” revealed Hammond.

PlayProvince has continued to dominate the national stage in 2022 with the team’s most recent achievement coming on Sunday, May 29 with a third-place finish at the Arena233 Apex Armageddon #2.

The esports organisation is known for its rapid development of gamers such as Prince Jonas – who is a member of the national FIFAe team – among others and Eugene will be hoping to further his development as an esports athlete with his new team.

PlayProvince star Jonas spoke to EAN back in March and revealed how the team helps him and other members to develop into stars.

“At PlayProvince they give you everything, even though we are not there yet and are left with things like gaming chairs, everything thing is available from the internet to consoles that will help you play online and improve you.”

“When it comes to tournaments, we have a few experienced players at PlayProvince who can help us with the tournament. So when it comes to tournaments right now we have a strategy, this is one [of the] main reasons why the current tournaments we are winning.”
