Press Release: Gamr X Kenya Qualifiers
It is with delight that we announce the return of Gamr X, a pan-African esports competition organized by Gamr. This competition shall see Kenyan gamers compete for a chance to win a fully paid trip to Lagos, Nigeria, where they shall be up against 18 other African nations in pursuit of esports glory.
The Kenyan gamers will compete in two titles: Street Fighter V and FIFA 23 on April 1 at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) in Nairobi. Both titles will be played on the PlayStation 5 in 1v1 mode.
This is a step up from last year, when Kenya was represented in Lagos by a sole competitor, Eric “Demon” Ngige, who was knocked out in the FIFA 23 quarterfinals. The finals will be held in June 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria.
Gamers should register before 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31st, 2023, on https://indexgesports.com/gamr Only those aged 18 and above are eligible to compete.
