United Arab Emirates (UAE) esports team, XPLDZ have been crowned the Levant and North Africa champions of the 2022 Valorant Regional Leagues Middle East and North Africa (MENA): Resilience Stage 2.

XPLDZ team which is made up of Egyptians Omar “chrollo” Hussein, Mohamed “shalaby” Shalaby and Abdo “TERNOS” Gebril as well as Russians Semyon “purp0” Borchev and Kirill “moner” Matsanov made it to the playoffs of the competition after securing 13 wins and 3 losses to finish 2nd on the table.

They would then get past Team RA’AD defeating the Egyptian side 2-1 to set up the Grand Final against Saudi side Geekay Esports who had completed the double on XPLDZ defeating the UAE side 2-0 and 2-1 during the Regular Season.

However, XPLDZ would get their revenge against the Saudi team defeating them 2-1 to secure the title and the first-place prize of $6,250 with Geekay Esports having to settle for second place and a cash prize of $3,125.

The 2022 Valorant Regional Leagues MENA: Resilience Stage 2 – Levant and North Africa was held online from May 10 to June 6 and saw 8 teams from the MENA region battle it out for the prize pool of $15,000 as well as one of the two slots available for the Grand Finals of the 2022 Valorant Regional Leagues MENA: Resilience Stage 2.
