Nigerian esports team Zero Remorse was crowned champions at the maiden edition of Gamr X‘s Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) held yesterday April 2 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Zero Remorse team which is made up of Kainan, End, Thug, Sensei and Carter dominated the competition to finish ahead of second-placed Hydra eSports and Rage Gaming who finished third.

In a statement on their official Twitter handle Zero Remorse praised the team following their victory stating how “really proud of the guys [they are] for coming out on top at the Gamr X LAN event” and how “grateful for the opportunity to be able to compete at such an event.”

CODM Africa – who represents the Call of Duty Mobile Esports scene in Africa – also gave their thoughts on the competition calling Gamr X “everything and more!” and that “the hype was simply insane and it delivered well above and beyond.”

“It’s Zero Remorse season! These guys have been nothing short of phenomenal and their win was a testament to just how hard they’ve worked to get here.” CODM Africa said about the eventual victors.

Gamr X kicked off on 2nd April 2022 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria and saw some of the best gamers from ten African countries including Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Kenya, Algeria, Cameroon, South Africa, Ivory Coast and hosts Nigeria compete in five game titles for a prize pool of $15,000.
