Talabat & GreatGamers to host regional awards
Online food ordering company, Talabat has partnered GreatGamers Awards to hold the first-ever Middle East and North Africa (MENA) esports awards on July 16 as the company looks to further develop the esports industry in the region.
The awards ceremony which is dubbed “Talabat GreatGamers Awards” was launched on June 13 and will honour some of the best gamers casters, and coaches of the year.
The event will be split over 5 categories representing players from the most popular game genres, people will be able to vote for the nominees – handpicked by a jury panel of local gaming experts in each of their categories.
The nominees for the various categories will be announced soon and starting June 30, the public will be able to vote for your idol in the Talabat Voting Centre. Below is the voting procedure;
Regional Director of Strategic Partnerships at Talabat, Thijs van Dam spoke about the recent announcement stating “We are thrilled to launch Talabat’s first-ever Gaming Awards Show in the region.”
“At Talabat, we are always looking to recognize and celebrate great talents within the region, and one of the areas we’ve had a keen interest in is the eSports scene.”
“Using the Talabat app, people are able to get their meals, groceries or snacks whenever they want, and our data shows that this includes a lot of gamers who enjoy fueling up while they play.”
