CODM X Ivyson Gaming tournament kicks off Saturday
South African rapper Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, better known as Nasty C, is set to hold the CODM X Ivyson Gaming tournament on Saturday, October 22 at the Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa, just weeks after being named a brand ambassador for Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM).
The competition is part of Nasty C’s Ivyson Tour, which is themed “Army,” and was inspired by Nasty C’s progressive success in gaming, which inspired him to evolve his fans into a group of empowered individuals (Army) who believe in freedom of imagination, freedom to be whoever and whatever they want to be, and pushing boundaries against all odds.
Many artists are scheduled to perform on the tour, including AKA, AudioMarc, Blxckie, CaseKlowwzed, Cassper Nyovest, GrowedYung, DJ D Double D, Emtee, Killamo, Maglera Doe Boy, Nadia Nakai, UnclePartyTime, and the host himself, Nasty C.
Here’s everything you need to know about the CODM X Ivyson Gaming tournament, which is organised by Carry1st and Ivyson Gaming and run by the African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL).
First up – Tournament Details:
- Game Mode: Free For All (Nuketown, Firing Range, Scrapyard)
- Capacity: 64 Players (First-come-first-serve)
- Top 4 Players in each lobby progress to the next round
- Tournament Estimated Start: 12:00
- Tournament Estimated End: 17:00
- All players that register for the tournament will additionally receive 560 Call of Duty Mobile points
Please note that the series will use random seeding.
Prize Pool:
- 1st: R5000
- 2nd: R3000
- 3rd: R2000
- 4th: R1000
- 5th-8th: R500 per person
- 9th-16th: R250 per person

- Step 2: Make your way to Emperors Palace at 10:00 for registration
- Step 3: Complete the Registration
- Step 4: Get ready to Play

- Players must bring their own devices.
- Must have a valid Call of Duty: Mobile account (Fully up-to-date)
- Must have Nuketown, Firing Range, Scrapyard maps downloaded
- Not required but recommended – Portable Battery for your device
