G2 Esports and DC Comics Unite for Limited-Edition Merchandise Collection
G2 Esports, a leading esports organisation in Europe, has recently teamed up with North American comic book publisher DC Comics to launch a new range of limited-edition merchandise. The partnership will see G2 Esports and DC Comics collaborate on a variety of themed apparel and products.
The first collection, inspired by the popular villain The Joker, will include a unique jersey worn by The organisation’s League of Legends team during the upcoming Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) tournament in London. The collaboration will also feature a merchandise collection for G2 Esports’ CS:GO roster, which will be released ahead of the Paris Major.
Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “At G2, we love nothing more than great storytelling and always had a lot of admiration for the DC Comics universe. For this MSI World Championship, the Joker character felt natural to take the competition by storm with our unexpected drafts. We can’t wait for the G2 Army to see what we have got planned for them.”
This is not DC Comics’ first venture into the esports industry. In 2021, the publisher partnered with FaZe Clan to produce a limited-edition comic book featuring various content creators, including FaZe Banks, FaZe Apex, FaZe Temperrr, FaZe Rain, FaZe Adapt, FaZe Rug, and FaZe Blaze, as superheroes.
G2 Esports continues to expand its reach and solidify its position as one of Europe’s premier esports organisations. The organisation recently formed a partnership with Blacklist International to create a League of Legends: Wild Rift team called G2 Blacklist.
