On October 1, Arudem Gaming, Uganda’s first professional esports organisation, participated in their first-ever international match when the organisation’s FIFA gamer Kid Musa took on Addexx of Senegalese esports giants Solo Esports in a 6-goal thriller.

The match saw Kid Musa suffer a 7-2 defeat in the first game before being thrashed 5-1 in the second by the Solo Esports star known for his mastery of the game’s mechanics as well as his beautiful possession-based style of play.

Speaking after the match, the Arudem star thanked the three-time Senegalese FIFA18 and FIFA19 champion, stating “well played Addexx GGs Solo Esports Club.”

Also speaking after the contest was Arudem Gaming Founder, Ivan Kibuuka, who thanked Solo Esports for the opportunity “Ggs to Solo Esport Club and thanks for the opportunity. We are trying to build more experience out of the local talent here in Uganda.”

Despite the loss, Arudem Gaming will be looking forward to competing more on the international stage in the coming future, as stated by the organisation’s founder, “Well played Kid Musa and Addexx. We’ll go again soon.”

Arudem Gaming is Uganda’s first professional gaming and esports brand which was founded back in 2019 by a group of Call of Duty gamers who looked to turn their hobby into something more. The organisation believes gaming holds prime real estate in the future of lifestyle and business since it’s one of the benchmarks for high-tech concepts around digital culture like AR, VR, and Web 3.
