b.creative West Africa kicks off June 17
Senegal is set to host West Africa’s first edition of the b.creative Conference at the Hotel Sokhamon in Dakar from June 17 to 18.
The b.creative Conference is organized by Kedge Arts School – Institute of Management of Creative Industries, b.creative and the Institute of Management and Innovation Professions – subsidiary of BEM Dakar and is set to bring together cultural and creative entrepreneurs in the following sectors:
- Visual Arts and Heritage
- Live performance (dance, music, theatre, etc.)
- Cultural Industries (cinema, music, publishing, video games, media, etc.)
- Creative Services (design, communication, digital, etc.)
- Taste industries (crafts, fashion, gastronomy, luxury, etc.)
- Leisure and entertainment industries (tourism, games, sports, etc.)
Founder of Gamecampcities Agency, Kofi Sika Latzoo and Creator & Host at Gamers Change Lives Podcast, Tom Leonard are set to host a bilingual roundtable on the future of gaming, game dev and esports-like creative industries in West Africa.
The discussion is set to see notable names in the West African gaming industry including (Vice President of the National Committee for the Promotion of Esports of Senegal) Serge Thiam, (CEO Madagastar Esports Arena) Igor Boumekpo, (Coordinator of the Senegal Digital Technologies Park) Bassirou Abdoul BA, (Co-Founder, Afric’Up) Mohamed Zoghlami and (Founder & CEO of the Lagos Esports Forum) Sayo Owolabi.
