GGC Golden Hour 2v2 Competition kicks off
After a successful launch of the GGC Golden Hour 2v2 Tournament on December 3 2021, the long-awaited FIFA competition organised by Giiks Game City began on December 4, 2021, and saw gamers from all parts of Ghana aiming to prove their superior teamwork.The competition has brought together 16 teams, divided into 4 groups to compete for a prize pool of GHc 4,500 and the bragging rights of being the best competitive team in 2v2 FIFA.Before the games, Mr Solomon Osei, the tournament official laid out the rules to the participating teams. “The day for the competition is here and whilst we are here to compete against each other and enjoy the games let’s desist from abusing our opponents verbally”, Mr Solomon Osei said.
Tournament favourites, the A-team, were the only team to win all their matches to make it through the group stages. The team is made up of highly ranked Ghanaian FIFA players Wonderkhid, GuyKobby and Mahardy. The other teams in the competition include Eze Gaming Hub, Canvic records, Showtime, team Alpha, Wonder boys, Cougars, Black squad, Play Province, Team falcon, HSOD, Tema Esports Club, Empire Arcadia, Prime Lords, Game Africa and the defending champions, GL legends.Two teams from each group will move on to the knockout stages of the competition where they will battle it out in home and away games in hopes of making it to the final and taking the trophy and prize.
