The A-team: Champions of the GGC Golden Hour 2v2 Tournament
The A-team were crowned champions of the GGC Golden Hour 2v2 FIFA tournament after an emphatic 3-0 win over the Black Squad in the finals of the competition.
The team made up of GuyKobby, Wonderkhid and Mahardy who are highly touted FIFA players in Ghana, had a very straightforward win in the final of the competition.
Stephen Sarfo, coach of the A-team, took home the best coach award for guiding his team to put up an impressive performance throughout the competition by being the only team to win all their matches.
The Black Squad whose only loss in the group stages came from the A-team, took home the second prize after failing to cause an upset.
Don Itchy, a player for the Black Squad and the competitions top scorer said that his only disappointment was losing against a more experienced team and he looked forward to coming back in the next edition of the competition as a much stronger competitor.GL Legends who were the champions of the last edition crashed out of the competition after a 3-0 semi-final defeat to the Black Squad. The winners took home a cash prize of GHc 2000, medals, a plaque and souvenirs from NASCO and Electroland Ghana Limited which included a tabletop gas stove, shaving machines, a 32-inch TV, blender and others.The second-place competitors took home GHc 500
