The Ghana Qualifiers for the Global Esports Federation‘s (GEF) Global Esports Games (GEG) are set to kick off tomorrow, September 10 and run till September 11 at the Esports Academy in Haatso, Accra.

The qualifiers, which are being organised by the Esports Association, Ghana (EAG) and the Ghana Esports Federation (GeSF), are set to bring together some of the West African nation’s best gamers as they battle for the opportunity to represent Ghana at the Games in either PUBG Mobile (PUBGM), Street Fighter V, or eFootball.

There will be an interesting addition to the Ghana Qualifiers for the 2022 GEG as the Quarter Finals to the Finals of the FIFA 22 PS5 Invitational will also be held at the Esports Academy in Haatso on September 11. Due to an unforeseen incident, the competition, which was initially held at the Accra Polo Court on September 4 during the FIFA World Cup’s visit to Ghana, had to be postponed to September 11.

The 2022 Global Esports Games (GEG), which is set to take place in Istanbul, Turkey from December 14–18, is the second edition of the event, with the first taking place in Singapore back in 2021. The event brings together the best gamers from the GEF’s Member Federations as they battle in a multi-title esports competition.
