Joana Osei signs with PlayProvince
Ghanaian esports team, PlayProvince has announced the signing of US-based female Apex Legends gamer Joana “Hideaki” Osei.
Joana joins an already impressive PlayProvince Apex team whose recent accomplishment is a third-place finish at Arena 233’s Apex Armageddon #2 tournament back in May.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with EAN, the Team Manager of PlayProvince, Kweku Hammond, revealed that the team’s newest addition would represent them in local and international events.
“So far as she is a gamer for PlayProvince, she automatically qualifies to participate in events both in Ghana and outside of Ghana,” Hammond said
The Team Manager also allayed fears about monitoring Joana’s progress, as the gamer is based in the US stating that “Yes, we will be able to track her progress.”
“This is not new to PlayProvince as our gamers are not just Ghanaian-based gamers. Currently, we have 10 gamers from outside Ghana whose progress we track since the games are online.”
Joana’s signing continues the recent hiring spree at PlayProvince which has seen the signing of Mortal Kombat gamer Eugene Mensah Asare and the appointment of Isaac Osei Nyantakyi as the club’s Call of Duty (COD) Head Coach.
