The sixth edition of the Festival de l’Electronique et du Jeu video d’Abidjan (FEJA), one of the continent’s largest gaming and esports festivals, was officially launched yesterday, October 24, by organisers Paradise Game.

The event, which will take place from November 26-27 at the Cosmos Yopougon in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, will bring together gamers, game developers, and other stakeholders in the sector to connect, discuss, and explore the future potential of the African esports sector.

This was announced on the official Paradise Game Twitter account, which said: “The FEJA 6 is officially launched! From 26 to 27 November, come and participate in the mass of African gamers to be held in Abidjan Cosmos Yopougon and become the undisputed champion, the 6th king of your discipline.”

The Festival de l’Electronique et du Jeu video d’Abidjan (FEJA) will feature major tournaments such as eFootball 2023, Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, and FIFA 2023. Mobile competitions in Clash Royale, Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM), Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile, and Garena Free Fire will also be on display.

Side events include Madden, Apex Legends, Call of Duty (COD), Naruto, Demon Slayer, Soul Calibur, Dirt Rally 2.0, Just Dance, NBA 2K, and Fortnite, among others. This means that this year’s event will be crowded as Paradise Game searches for the FEJA 6 king.

“Esports in Africa, a dream becoming true. As we head towards FEJA 6 (November 26th -27th in Abidjan), we are looking for the next king. Here is a video that tells the story of FEJA, our flagship event which we claim to be the biggest esports event in Africa.” Paradise Game founder Bakayoko Sidick stated in a tweet.
