PlayProvince gamers impress at GFA eTrophy
The pre-qualifiers of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) eTrophy Championship wrapped up on May 7 at selected game centres across the country with a number of gamers impressing.
However, one team which impressed at the competition was Accra-based PlayProvince which had all four of their gamers qualify for the main showdown to be held at the Alisa Hotel in North Ridge, Accra on May 14.
The gamers in question are Prince Jonas, Mbappe, BigUps and PrettyBoy Dells – who made the waves during the pre-qualifiers by defeating an opponent 18-3.
PlayProvince Jonas will be looking to get back to form and make Ghana’s 6-member team for the FIFAe Nations Cup after missing out on Ghana’s slot for the GamrX tournament to Tema Esports’ N’gohlow.
Jonas who won back-to-back victories in March stated his confidence to make Ghana’s FIFAe Nations team in an exclusive interview with EAN. “I have the advantage to do that, it’s my field. So if it’s PS4 then I think I am the one to represent Ghana.”
The GFA eTrophy Championship serves as qualifiers to select the country’s 6-member national team for the 2022 FIFAe Nations Cup which is set to take place from July 27 to 30 in Denmark.
