PlayStation VR 2 set for early 2023 release
If you were waiting for the PlayStation VR 2 (PSVR2) release date, you’re about to get your wish as Sony PlayStation has announced that their next-generation virtual reality headset will be released in early 2023.
The PSVR2 is designed to be ergonomic, so you can wear it for extended periods of time without discomfort. It’s also lightweight, which makes it easy to forget you’re wearing it in the first place.
It also boasts a new lens design that claims to provide a wider field of view while greatly reducing the screen-door effect. The new headset will be launched with improved wireless controllers and a redesigned interface that makes navigating your virtual world easier than ever before.
The first official PSVR was released in October 2016, and it retailed for $399 at that time. The PSVR is a virtual reality headset that works with the PlayStation 4 (PS4) gaming console. It was developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), which is a subsidiary of Sony Corporation.
The worldwide release date is set to happen in early 2023. The PSVR2 will have a few key features, including motion tracking and positional audio. The price for the PlayStation VR 2 is not yet known.
However, it’s likely that it will be higher than the first generation, as Sony has been more aggressive with pricing in their hardware lineups lately. It is possible that we’ll see some sort of bundle discount to help entice consumers into purchasing both the headset and one of their PlayStation consoles.
We’re excited about this news because we believe that Sony’s second iteration of their VR technology will give even more people access to immersive gaming experiences!
