Tanzanian esports athlete, Sahil Samir, was impressive at the ended FIFA22 event of the 10-nation Gamr X competition held in Lagos, Nigeria.

The competition which was held on April 2 at the Eko Hotel saw the Tanzanian gamer claim victory after victory as he dominated the competition to set up a final showdown with Nigerian gamer, Doom.

The first leg of the grand final would see Sahil dominate Doom picking up a 4-2 victory. Doom would however come back strongly in the second leg but couldn’t overcome his opponent as they both settled for a 2-2 draw.

Sahil joins Hamza (MK11 champion), Lord-Nok (Street Fighter V champs), Zero Remorse (Call of Duty: Mobile champs) and Drgn Limtless (PUBG: Mobile champs) to make history at the maiden edition of the Gamr organised Gamr X.

Gamr X kicked off on 2nd April 2022 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria and saw some of the best gamers from ten African countries including Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Kenya, Algeria, Cameroon, South Africa, Ivory Coast and hosts Nigeria compete in five game titles for a prize pool of $15,000.
