Summer Sports Leadership Camp Esports Challenge kicks off

The Impact Youth Foundation‘s (IYF) Summer Sports Leadership Camp Esports Challenge officially kicked off yesterday, July 18 at the Al-Rayan International School.

The event is as a result of a partnership between Esports Africa News (EAN) and the IYF, as the media house continues its push to develop the emerging sport by introducing it to the nation’s younger generation.

This can be seen with the ongoing EAN Highschool Esports Tour, which kicked off at the St Martins SHS back in May, and the partnership with the IYF is just further proof of the organisation’s dedication to youth development.

The IYF’s Summer Sports Leadership Camp is a 5-week long event that kicked off on June 20 and is set to run till July 20.

The event saw boys and girls ages 8 to 19 participate in numerous activities, including football and basketball skills training, leadership and character-building, community service, basketball and football games, and academic and career guidance.

The IYF is a sports for development non-profit organization that, through partnerships and collaborations with local and private schools, government institutions and agencies, governing bodies, and cooperative entities, develops programs and projects that meet the human, economic, and social development needs of children and youth across the country.

The IYF Summer Sports Leadership Camp Esports Challenge comes to a conclusion today, July 19, at the Al-Rayan International School.
