The Esports Association, Ghana (EAG) have announced the appointment of Eze Gaming Hub‘s Doreen Dabi-Diamond as the association’s General Secretary.

The announcement was made by the President of EAG, Kwesi Hayford, in an exclusive interview with EAN stating that Doreen has a passion for the sport “We are making an announcement that Doreen Dabi-Diamond is the new General Secretary of the Esports Association of Ghana and we hope that she has a fire, she has the energy, she has a passion for the game.”

Dabi-Diamond is the first-ever female team coach in Ghana, having been named as the coach for the Eze Gaming Hub esports team during the 2021 GGC Golden Hour tournament. She was also the only female competitor among 16 male competitors during the maiden edition of the Volta FIFA20 Championship held in the Volta Region last year.

“With all her talent in being a gamer, an esports coach, she has [been] a technical director for Eze Gaming Hub and Esports Team as well, so she has that wealth of experience within the esports space,” Kwesi said about her experience.

“She comes to the space with a wealth of knowledge and she is also one of the big organisers in putting the gamer girls event together so she taking the General Secretary role she humbly accepted.”

“So we are very happy that she’s coming in and we hope that she is coming with an energy and drive that will drive this association to the next level.”

Dabi-Diamond replaces previous General Secretary Martha Daitey who relocated to the USA and as such wouldn’t be able to continue with the role.
