NIBBLE Esports review 2022 RLCS performance
South African (SA) esports organisation, NIBBLE Esports are taking a look at their performances during the Spring edition of the 2021/2022 Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Sub-Saharan Africa Regionals.
The team which is made up of Lorenzo “Mr.Low” Fransman, Ruan “RisenEclipse” van Wyk and Christian “ChristianW” Wentzel have been seeing steady improvements over the 3 Events that took place from May 6 to June 5 completely online.
Event 1 of the Sub-Saharan Africa Regionals saw the South African team defeated by Team Espionage (3-0) in the First Round of the Upper Bracket before getting knocked out by eventual 3rd place finishers AIPX Gaming (3-0) in Round 3 of the Lower Bracket.
Event 2 would see a slight improvement by NIBBLE Esports as they made it to the Quarter Finals of the Upper Bracket only to be defeated by Orlando Pirates Exdee (3-0) to be moved down to the Lower Bracket, where they would again be knocked out by AIPX Gaming (3-0) in Round 3.
The third and final event of the Spring Sub-Saharan Africa Regionals would see the team make it once again to the Quarter Finals of the Upper Bracket this time getting knocked down to the Lower Brackets by Bravado Gaming (3-0).
The team would once again meet AIPX Gaming in Round 3 of the Lower Bracket but would this time overcome their fellow countrymen defeating them 3-0 to make it to the Quarter Finals where they would be thrashed 4-0 by Digital Devils.
In a statement, NIBBLE Esports would state that ” with [the] RLCS behind us, we’ve had some time to reflect on the spring regional.” deciding to chart the team’s progression against AIPX Gaming who they had several encounters within the competition.
After repeated close encounters with a strong team like AIPX Gaming, we charted the team’s progression with the addition of an EU consultant coach. What a storyline it’s been.
